Caran R. Coward, a 39-year-old female police officer from Livingston, Texas, tragically lost her life on April 26, 2008. Officer Coward was shot and killed by her husband, Randy Phillip Coward, in an apparent murder-suicide. The incident occurred in a travel trailer outside their home in Livingston. Caran Coward was on duty at the time and had gone home to check on her children during a break.
