Michael Grant Cahill, a 62-year-old male of Caucasian ethnicity, was a retired Army National Guard veteran and physician's assistant. He was born on July 16, 1947, in Spokane, Washington. On November 5, 2009, Cahill was tragically killed at Fort Hood, Texas, during a mass shooting carried out by a disgruntled U.S. Army psychiatrist, Major Nidal Hasan. Cahill was among the 13 people killed and more than 30 others injured in the attack.
