On June 11, 2010, Amanda Nicole Simmons, a 20-year-old white female nurse from Jonestown, Texas, was found deceased in her apartment at the Arboleda Apartments in Cedar Park. Her father, concerned after being unable to reach her, contacted the Cedar Park Police Department around 6:30 p.m. Officers responded to the welfare check, and upon receiving no answer at her door, they forced entry into the apartment.
