Sherri Katherine Jones, a 54-year-old white female, tragically lost her life on April 18, 2011, in Bowie, Texas. Sherri was a dedicated Deputy Sheriff with the Bowie County Sheriff's Office, having served for six years. On the day of her death, she was performing her duties at the Bowie County Courthouse, preparing to transport a prisoner from a courtroom to a state facility.
