In the early hours of a Sunday morning in St. Louis, Missouri, on August 16, 2009, the life of 14-year-old Nathan Lamont Walker was tragically cut short. An African American male, Nathan was standing with a group of friends on a street corner in the 5500 block of Ashland Avenue at approximately 1:45 a.m. The night took a sudden and violent turn when an unknown individual approached the group and opened fire.
