Yasmin Arzola Ortiz, a 20-year-old woman of Hispanic ethnicity, tragically lost her life on January 26, 2014, in Houston, Texas. She was shot in the parking lot of the Mekano Live Club located at 9344 Richmond. The incident occurred around 1:55 a.m., and Yasmin was transported to the hospital in critical condition, but she succumbed to her injuries several days later.
The investigation revealed that the shooting was a result of a fight that took place between two males inside the club
just minutes before the incident. Emilio Angel Cervantes-Gonzales, a 23-year-old man, was identified as the suspect and charged with murder in connection to Yasmin's death. Cervantes-Gonzales was last seen driving a green Hummer with Texas license plates CKF-8760. Authorities believe he may have fled to Mexico, and his whereabouts remain unknown.
The Houston Police Department has been actively seeking information on Cervantes-Gonzales and urging anyone with knowledge of his location to come forward. The case remains an ongoing investigation, and the HPD Homicide Division continues to work diligently to bring justice for Yasmin Arzola Ortiz.
