Johran McCormick, a 17-year-old African American male, tragically died on March 13, 2014, in Spring, Texas. He was fatally shot by the father of a 16-year-old girl after being found in her bedroom early in the morning. The incident occurred around 2:30 a.m. when the girl's father heard noises coming from her room and went to investigate. Upon discovering McCormick, an altercation ensued, and the father shot McCormick once in the head. McCormick was pronounced dead at the scene.
