In the spring of 2014, the life of 19-year-old Jamal Kree Richburg, a Black male, was cut tragically short on the streets of Birmingham, Alabama. On the evening of April 28th, an altercation broke out in the 1700 block of 4th Avenue West, a confrontation that would ultimately turn fatal. During the dispute, Richburg was shot.
