Chad Slaughter, a 26-year-old male from Beaumont, Texas, tragically lost his life on November 3, 2014. He was fatally shot inside a unit at the Timberlake Courts apartments on the IH-10 service road just south of Laurel. The incident led to a significant investigation and legal proceedings.
