Robert Francis Mesch, a 61-year-old white male, died on January 23, 2015, in Austin, Texas, following an officer-involved shooting. The incident began when Mesch's wife called the police around 3:30 a.m., reporting that her husband had threatened to kill himself and had also threatened her life.
