Desmond Dewayne Luster Sr., a 45-year-old African American man, tragically died on February 9, 2015, in Dallas, TX. His death was the result of a shooting incident involving an off-duty Dallas police officer. Luster was involved in a confrontation near the Flying J Truck Stop, where he was shot by Officer Aaron Tolerton, who was working a security job at the time. The incident occurred after Luster had chased three burglary suspects from his home and called 911 for assistance.
