Jennifer Cruz, a 27-year-old woman from Lubbock, Texas, tragically lost her life on April 18, 2015. She was fatally shot four times at her home in the 5000 block of 44th Street. Her new boyfriend, Albert "Bo" Martinez, aged 30, was also shot once and killed during the incident. The perpetrator, Jennifer's ex-husband David Ricardo Carrillo, was arrested shortly after the crime.
