On July 8, 2015, Durell Taylor, a 30-year-old African American man from Houston, TX, was fatally shot at a gas station located at 9400 Cullen Boulevard. According to police reports, Taylor was pumping gas when an unknown male suspect, described as a thin black male around 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighing approximately 130 pounds with a mustache, approached him with a rifle.
