Death by Force

Rondale Gurley, a 31-year-old Oakland resident, was shot and killed on March 24, 2012, in a tragic incident that also left an 18-year-old woman critically injured. The shooting occurred in East Oakland, and Gurley was pronounced dead at the scene. The violence was part of a broader spike in homicides that year in Oakland, which saw 127 homicides in total.
