Steven Boyd Norton, a 47-year-old male, was fatally shot by Kerrville police on August 16, 2015. The incident occurred at his home on Linda Joy Street after officers responded to a domestic violence call. Norton, who owned a local pest-control firm, was reported to have assaulted his wife and daughter before arming himself with a rifle. His wife, Jennifer Norton, contacted authorities, stating that he had become violent. She and her daughter left the home before officers arrived.
