On November 14, 2015, William Hudson, a 35-year-old man from Tennessee Colony, went on a rampage that resulted in the deaths of six people, including Kade Johnson. Hudson shot and killed Austin Kamp, Nathan Kamp, and Thomas Kamp, and then shot Carl Johnson before running out of ammunition. He subsequently killed Carl Johnson and Hannah Johnson by beating them to death. Kade Johnson, a 6-year-old boy, was among the victims of this brutal attack.
William Hudson was arrested, convicted, and sentenced to death for the murders. The prosecution sought the death penalty due to the brutal nature of the mass murders.
