On November 15, 2015, Austin Kamp, a 21-year-old male from Tennessee Colony, Texas, was tragically murdered along with his family members while on a camping trip. The victims included Austin's father, Thomas Kamp, 45, his brother, Nathan Kamp, 23, and Kade Johnson, a 6-year-old child. The only survivor of the attack was Cynthia Johnson, Carl Johnson's wife, who managed to hide until dawn and call for help.
