Carroll Oliver, a 68-year-old African American man, was tragically shot and killed on January 11, 2016, outside one of the McDonald's restaurants he owned in Houston, Texas. Oliver was a well-respected businessman and community leader, known for his generosity and dedication to helping others. He was walking to his vehicle after depositing money at the bank when he was approached by at least two gunmen in a white SUV. Oliver, who was armed, attempted to defend himself but was fatally shot.
