Silverio Capistran Jr., a 43-year-old Hispanic male, tragically passed away on February 8, 2016, in Brownsville, Texas. Capistran was the head of the Food and Nutrition Services Department at the Brownsville Independent School District . He was found dead in his pickup truck outside his apartment, with a gunshot wound to the head. The gun was found in the vehicle, and initial investigations suggested it might have been a suicide.
