Marlese Arnett, a 32-year-old African American woman, was tragically killed in a drive-by shooting on March 11, 2016, in Dallas, Texas. Arnett, a beloved cafeteria worker at Ann Richards Middle School and a busy single mother of six children, was fatally shot while driving near the intersection of John West Road and La Prada Drive. The incident occurred after a minor altercation in a parking lot, reportedly over a door ding.
