On the evening of June 22, 2011, tragedy struck in Kansas City, Missouri, when 26-year-old Marshall Blacksure was found shot to death. The young Black man was discovered on the sidewalk at the intersection of Roberts and Bales around 8 p.m. The scene that unfolded was one of violence and mystery, leaving a community searching for answers.
