On September 28, 2011, Candielario P. Benton, aged 27, was shot and killed in Kansas City, Missouri. The incident occurred in the area of 26th Street and Prospect Avenue, where it escalated into a double homicide that also claimed the life of 18-year-old Clarence Williams. Police responded to the scene around 5:23 p.m., where they found three victims suffering from gunshot wounds. Candielario Benton and Clarence Williams were pronounced dead, while a third man was left in critical condition.
