Van Chau, a 47-year-old woman of Asian ethnicity, tragically lost her life on December 29, 2016, in Round Rock, Texas. The incident was determined to be a murder-suicide. Van Chau was shot and killed by her husband, Kiet Chau, who was 53 years old. Following the shooting, Kiet Chau took his own life. The couple's two sons were home at the time and discovered their parents' bodies in the master bathroom closet after hearing gunshots.
