Darius Flournoy, a 21-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on January 9, 2017, in Spring, Texas. Darius, who was affectionately known as a "Gentle Giant" by those who knew him, was a former offensive lineman for Spring High School. On the evening of his death, Darius was involved in a dispute with an acquaintance, Ja'Corrie Rogers, over a pair of shoes.
