Vernon R. Carney, aged 38, was shot and killed in Kansas City, Missouri, on February 4, 2012. Carney was found in his silver Cadillac Escalade at 57th Street and Troost Avenue after police were dispatched in response to reports of gunfire. He had sustained multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene.
