Ruben Gutierrez, a 34-year-old Hispanic male, tragically lost his life on June 8, 2017, in Mathis, Texas. The incident occurred outside a convenience store on South Aransas Street, where a confrontation between two groups escalated into a fatal shooting. Gutierrez was one of three victims in the shooting, which also claimed the life of 27-year-old Matthew Martinez and left an 18-year-old man critically injured.
