Alexus Mares, a 20-year-old woman from Houston, Texas, was tragically shot and killed on August 20, 2017. The incident occurred outside Chula's Sports Cantina near Willowbrook Mall, where Alexus was celebrating her birthday with friends. The altercation began inside the sports bar and escalated into a shootout in the parking lot. Alexus's boyfriend's best friend was also shot and critically injured during the incident.
