Iris Chirinos, an 18-year-old female of Hispanic ethnicity, tragically lost her life on September 2, 2017, in Arlington, Texas. She was the girlfriend of Erick Zelaya, who was also killed in the incident. The perpetrator, Hector Acosta-Ojeda, was a 30-year-old man who claimed to be a hitman for a Mexican drug cartel.
