Rufino Pacheco, a 52-year-old male of Mexican ethnicity, tragically passed away on October 14, 2017, in Wichita Falls, Texas. He was born on July 19, 1965, in Durango, Mexico, and was known for his dedication to his family and his passion for horses and animals. Rufino was a loving husband to Maria T. Pacheco and a proud father to three children, Arnaldo, Alejandro, and Laura Pacheco.
On the night of his death, Rufino was shot in the 2300 block of Yale Avenue around 8:37 p.m.
He was later pronounced dead at the scene due to his injuries. The Wichita Falls Police Department launched an investigation into his murder, but they have had very little information to go on. The department has sought assistance from the public, offering a reward for any information leading to an arrest.
