On October 20, 2017, 15-year-old Miguel Angel Esquivel was tragically shot and killed at Embree Park in Garland, Texas. The incident occurred during an altercation between two large groups, one from Garland and the other from Dallas. During the fight, 17-year-old Scott Litton pulled out a gun and began shooting into the crowd, hitting Esquivel in the head. Esquivel was taken to Baylor Hospital in Garland, where he later died.
