Darrence O'Brien Kindle, a 31-year-old Black man from Lufkin, Texas, tragically lost his life on November 3, 2017. He was fatally shot at a Dollar General store during an attempted robbery. The incident occurred when an armed man wearing a "Scream" mask entered the store and demanded money from the register. During the robbery, the suspect fired a round from a handgun, striking Darrence in the head. Despite being rushed to a local hospital, Darrence succumbed to his injuries.
