John Bryan Holcombe, a 60-year-old male of Caucasian ethnicity, tragically lost his life on November 5, 2017, during a mass shooting at the First Baptist Church in Sutherland Springs, Texas. Holcombe was serving as a guest pastor and was delivering the sermon when the gunman, Devin Patrick Kelley, opened fire on the congregation. The attack resulted in the deaths of 26 people, including Holcombe and several members of his family.
