Stacy was known for her love of family, especially her three-year-old granddaughter Kinsleigh and two-week-old grandson Luke. She also enjoyed watching her family members race at local dirt tracks and occasionally participated in racing herself.
The cause of Stacy's death was
determined to be a murder-suicide. The suspect, identified as James Luther Conterez, 38, from Oklahoma, was living with Stacy at her home in Lumberton. On the evening of May 27, 2018, deputies responded to a domestic disturbance call at Stacy's residence on Johnson Lane. Upon arrival, they discovered both Stacy and Conterez deceased from gunshot wounds. Investigators concluded that Conterez shot Stacy before taking his own life.
The Hardin County Sheriff's Office confirmed that there were no other suspects involved and that the incident appeared to be an isolated murder-suicide. Autopsies were conducted, but no further information was released to the public.
Stacy is survived by her parents, Glenn and Beverley Revia, two daughters, Kaitlynn Revia and Trent Speichinger, and several other family members. Her death was a profound loss to her family and community, and she is remembered fondly by those who knew her.
