William M. Booker, a 36-year-old male, tragically lost his life on June 11, 2018, in Lewisville, Texas. The incident occurred late in the evening when Booker attempted to leave his girlfriend's apartment on his motorcycle. His path was obstructed by a vehicle, leading to a confrontation with the driver. As Booker rode away, the suspect followed him. Approximately half a mile from the apartment, Booker was fatally shot in the back. The shooting took place near T's Bar & Grill, a location where Booker was well-known as a DJ and musician. The altercation reportedly stemmed from a dispute over a parking space.

The suspect, identified as 28-year-old Quintin Lowe, was arrested and charged with murder. Lowe was taken into custody by the Denton County Sheriff's Office and held in the Dallas County Jail with a bond set at $300,000. According to police reports, Lowe and Booker had exchanged words before the shooting, and Lowe followed Booker as he rode away on his motorcycle. The gunfire occurred along SH 121 and Oakwood, with police describing the suspect's vehicle as a dark-colored car, possibly a Dodge model.

The investigation revealed that both men were visiting separate apartments in the same building at the Park Timbers Apartments. Initial reports indicated that Booker had kicked Lowe's car during the altercation. The police urged any witnesses who might have seen the incident to come forward with information, such as a license plate number or direction of travel.

Booker's death was a significant loss to his community, where he was known for his positive outlook on life and his many talents. He was a Navy veteran, having served from 2000 to 2005, and had pursued various interests, including DJing, karaoke hosting, and motorcycle repair. His funeral was held on June 19, 2018, with military honors at Fort Sill National Cemetery.
