Alexandria Kay Goodloe, a 22-year-old woman from Waxahachie, Texas, tragically passed away on June 24, 2018. Born on January 5, 1996, in Fort Worth, Texas, Alexandria was a young woman whose life was cut short under devastating circumstances.
On the day of her death, Alexandria's family became concerned when they hadn't heard from her in several days and contacted the Waxahachie Police Department to check on her welfare.
When officers arrived at her apartment at the Cambridge Court Apartments, they found her vehicle and that of her live-in boyfriend, Mauro Hernandez, 22, parked outside. After receiving no response at the door, the officers forced entry and discovered both Alexandria and Hernandez deceased in a bedroom.
The investigation revealed that both individuals had sustained gunshot wounds, and a firearm was recovered at the scene. The Ellis County Precinct 3 Justice of the Peace pronounced them dead at the scene, and their bodies were taken to the Dallas County Medical Examiner’s Office for a full autopsy. The Waxahachie Police Department determined the incident to be a murder-suicide, with Hernandez being the one who shot Alexandria before taking his own life.
As of now, there have been no arrests or suspects identified in the case, as the investigation concluded that Hernandez was responsible for Alexandria's death. The case remains closed, with no ongoing litigation or further investigations.
