A 79-year-old Caucasian woman, Jannetta Tillman, was fatally shot on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, in a residence in Waxahachie, Texas. Law enforcement has confirmed her identity and cause of death. The incident, which is being investigated as a double shooting, also left a man with critical injuries.
Deputies from the Ellis County Sheriff's Office were dispatched to a home in the 4200 block of FM 876 around 3:20 p.m. to conduct a welfare check on an elderly couple.
