Carolyn Cantu, a 27-year-old woman from Corpus Christi, Texas, tragically lost her life on August 17, 2018. She was fatally shot along with her mother, 44-year-old Carolyn Pena, in the 2900 block of Mary Street. The incident occurred on a Friday night, and both victims were taken to the hospital, where they later succumbed to their injuries. The shooting was not considered random, as police believed the individuals involved knew each other.
