Darius LeCompte, a 24-year-old African American male, was a senior Biology major at Prairie View A&M University. He was originally from Missouri City, Texas, and had recently transferred from Texas Southern University. On September 5, 2018, Darius was found shot to death in his pickup truck in Prairie View, Texas. The incident occurred around 9:30 p.m. when police responded to a crash at the corner of University Drive and Owens Road.
