On December 1, 2018, Melonie Johnson, a 45-year-old woman from Houston, Texas, was tragically killed outside a Scottish Inn in northern Harris County. The incident occurred around 10 p.m., when deputies were called to the scene and found Johnson dead in the parking lot. The suspect, Kenneth Hubert, a 57-year-old man with a history of prior arrests, including a life sentence for a 1988 murder, turned himself in to the police about an hour later.
