Bennie Ray Jackson, a 65-year-old African American man from Tyler, Texas, was found shot to death on December 10, 2018. He was discovered on his front porch at his home on North Gaston and West Barrett Street. The Tyler Police Department responded to the scene and confirmed that Jackson died from an apparent gunshot wound.
