Dominique Nicole Schliske, a 26-year-old woman from Anahuac, Texas, tragically passed away on December 24, 2018. She was found dead in her home alongside her husband, Matthew Allen Kline, 28, in what was determined to be a murder-suicide. According to the Chambers County Sheriff's Office, Dominique was shot in the head while asleep in the master bedroom, and Matthew was found lying on the floor next to the bed with a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head. The couple had been deceased for several hours before a relative discovered their bodies.
The investigation revealed that Matthew Kline shot his wife before taking his own life. The couple's four young children were left orphaned, and a benefit was organized to support them. Justice of the Peace Randy Van Deventer ordered autopsies on both Dominique and Matthew to confirm the cause of death. The investigation concluded that there were no other suspects involved, and the case was treated as a tragic incident rather than a criminal act.
