On January 16, 2019, Skyler Butler, a 20-year-old woman from Little Elm, Texas, was tragically found dead in her apartment on McCord Way. She had suffered a gunshot wound to the head, and the Tarrant County medical examiner ruled her death a homicide. The discovery was made by police officers who were responding to a wellness check call. Alongside Skyler, the body of 24-year-old Jeremy Linder was also found at the scene.
