Pastor Eugene Keahey, age 52, died on February 28, 2019, in Cedar Hill, Texas. His death was ruled a suicide by the Dallas County Medical Examiner's Office. Pastor Keahey, who served at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Sandbranch, shot himself in the head after starting a fire in his home. The fire resulted in the deaths of his wife, Deanna Keahey, age 51, and their 15-year-old daughter, Camryn Keahey, from thermal burns and smoke inhalation.
