Daniel Mwanche, a 66-year-old man from Houston, Texas, tragically died on March 5, 2019, after being shot in the park at 6855 Harbor Town Drive. He was walking alone when an unknown suspect or suspects shot him and fled the scene. Despite his injuries, Mwanche managed to drive himself to a nearby apartment, where a family member called 9-1-1. He was then transported to Memorial Hermann Southwest Hospital in critical condition but unfortunately succumbed to his injuries.
The Houston
Police Department's Major Assaults & Family Violence Division, along with Detectives M. Althaus and Z. Brumley, took charge of the investigation. The case remains unsolved, and the police have urged anyone with information to come forward. The investigation has not led to any arrests or identified suspects as of now.
