Donnie Evans Jr., an 18-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on March 17, 2019, in Fort Worth, Texas. Evans, a freshman at Tyler Junior College, was shot and killed at the Sycamore Pointe Apartments located in the 8000 block of Joshua Drive. The incident occurred during a large fight involving as many as 50 people. The altercation escalated when someone pulled out a gun, resulting in Evans being fatally shot.
