Lekeye Danard Mitchell Jr., a 17-year-old male of African American ethnicity, tragically lost his life on April 20, 2019, in Mesquite, Texas. The incident occurred around 3:30 p.m. in the 1600 block of Bruton Road, where Mitchell was found deceased from an apparent gunshot wound. The Mesquite Police Department received several 911 calls reporting the shooting, and upon arrival, they confirmed Mitchell's death.
