Donnavon Reese, a 27-year-old African American male, was found dead on May 12, 2019, in Tyler, Texas. The incident occurred around 2:10 a.m. at a convenience store located at 11812 Highway 64 West. Reese was discovered inside a vehicle parked in front of the store, having sustained an apparent gunshot wound. The Smith County Sheriff's Office responded to the scene and initiated an investigation into the circumstances surrounding his death.
