On May 22, 2019, Heng Lam, a 30-year-old male of Asian ethnicity, was tragically shot and killed during a robbery at a convenience store in Garland, Texas. The incident occurred around 11:30 p.m. when two armed suspects entered the store and demanded money from the clerks.
