Maria Isabel Cervantes, a 19-year-old Hispanic woman from Lubbock, Texas, tragically passed away on June 7, 2019. She was fatally shot inside a home located on the 1600 block of 58th Street. The incident occurred when Detren Ward, her 19-year-old boyfriend, mishandled a loaded gun, accidentally shooting her in the head.
