Carlito J. Price, a 20-year-old male of Hispanic ethnicity, tragically passed away on July 14, 2019, in Humble, Texas. Carlito was born on November 1, 1998, to Jennifer Harding and Carlos Price. He spent his early years with his grandparents, Cle and Sandi Price, who were affectionately known as "Onnie" and "Paw-Paw" to Carlito's friends. Carlito was known for his love of rollerblading, motor-cross, and collecting old cars, which he enjoyed fixing with his mechanical skills.
He graduated from Atascocita High School and was engaged to his fiancé, Gabi, with whom he had a son named Cryan.
Carlito's death was part of a double homicide investigation in Humble, Texas. On the night of the incident, 34-year-old Yamil Rivera-Perez forced his way into his ex-girlfriend's home and opened fire, killing Carlito and his ex-girlfriend, Charity Freeman. Alejandro Suarez, a friend visiting at the time, was also shot and later succumbed to his injuries at the hospital. Rivera-Perez was arrested and charged with capital murder. The Harris County Sheriff's Office and Crime Scene Investigators have been actively involved in the investigation, and Rivera-Perez is being held without bail pending indictment.
The case has drawn significant attention from law enforcement and the community, with the Harris County District Attorney's Office filing a motion to deny bail for Rivera-Perez. If convicted, Rivera-Perez could face life imprisonment without the possibility of parole or the death penalty. The investigation is ongoing, and authorities are urging anyone with additional information to come forward.
Carlito's family and friends continue to mourn his loss and cherish the memories of his vibrant life. His legacy lives on through his son, Cryan, and the impact he had on those who knew him.
